Today I’m Grateful for:  finally we figured out where to eat dinner!!! Why is it always so difficult?

Hello!  Glad to be back!  Thank you so much for the comments.  I’m so glad that you guys are still there and I’m popping on your reader too.  Whew!  Please keep sticking around.  I’m so excited about this year!  I think we all are destined for something great!  I also believe whole heartedly that we are in “full control” of our destiny.  We go as far as we try!!!  So join me this year as I learn new things and see where it takes me.  So about learning new things… to start the year I signed up for 2 classes.  Maggie Holmes Basic Photography Class and an Carina Gardners Illustrator 101.  Both started this week.  Yikes!  Luckily I took today off and was able to take both classes on my day off.   My verdict so far???  Worth what I paid for!!!  They are both amazing teachers!   I have some Illustrator samples to show you….see below.  Keep in mind i have never used Adobe Illustrator before.  So far I’m loving it!  But first I wanted to share some cards I made while I was MIA.

Talk to you guys again tomorrow!

My Stamp Storage!!!

Hey All! No creation here today.  But I do want to share how I store my Unity Stamps and my SU stamps.  Even though I have a scrap room I still lack space.  SU stamps unlike CTMH stamps are bulky.  They take up a lot of space and I wasn't about to have that.  So I googled this problem of mine awhile back and found some great ideas.

My solution to this was not to mount it on the wood blocks it came with but to use a Vinyl Cling.  This worked for me because I love using acrylic blocks.  Even though I still can't see through the stamp at least I have a pretty good Idea where I'm stamping.

For my SU stamps already mounted.  Well I ripped it off the wood block and then used a Cling Foam Mount.  One side is sticky and the other side has vinyl cling on it.  It feels just like Unity's Foam Mount.

Here's a sample of my SU storage.  Basically after I attach the vinyl cling on the sticky side of the stamp I store my stamps using transparencies or acetates that I purchased from my local office supply store.  I then stamped the image onto a white cardstock so I can see what the image looks like.  After that I store the stamps in a page protector clear sheet.

For my Unity stamps I pretty much do the same thing.  But it's easier.  Since all Unity stamps all ready come mounted on cling foam all I really have to do is stick them onto the transparency, stamp on cardstock and place in a page protector.  EASY!

One trick I do have with the kit of the month is that I flip it over (stamp down on the table) and remove the paper carefully.  Then I place an 8 1/2 x 11 transparency on top of it.  I then flip it over again (transparency side on the table) and slowly remove the excess rubber stamps.  This makes it easy because the KOTM from Unity is already 8 1/2 x 11.  So you don't have to mess with the positioning of the stamps.

Last but not the least.  I then store my stamps in a file folder plastic storage.  This one is larger than the usual ones you see out there.  But I got this one from Walmart and it's made by Rubbermaid…cheap it cost less than $5.  This fits about 20-24 stamps sets in the page protectors.  I love it!!!  As you can see from the pics you can fit a bunch of stamps on one transparency sheet.  I think I've placed about 4 SU stamp sets in one.

Well I hope this helps you out.  This definitely worked for me and I just wanted to pass along the tip!!

Let me know what you think….if you have a question leave me a comment and I'll do my best to answer it.

Thanks for reading!!!

BTW the vinyl cling and cling foam I purchased online from Sparkle and Sprinkle!!
