congratulations tricia 11.9.09

Hello!!!  Happy Friday the 13th!!  Anybody out there dislike this day?  I guess i just treat this like any other day..maybe i like it more because its a Friday I dont know.  So I’m still here in Jacksonville.  But this is my last day here and we are heading out this afternoon to go back home to hot and humid Sarasota.  I’m crossing my fingers its cold there right now like it is up here.  I’m loving it so much.

Last night was fun…. got to hang out with everyone and we ate at a seafood place.  I forgot the name… but it was awesome.  I always like the last night out of town because its when everyone lets their hair down and just enjoy each others company.  Like I told my GM (who was wearing jeans…rather than his usually dress pants)…. he looked human.  Hahahahah!!  He got a good laugh out of that.  It’s also pretty cool how we all just talk normal….different from the usual corporate demeanor.  Anybody else out there work for Corporate America like I do?  Do you feel the same way??   I also love the bonding time I get to have with my team…face to face rather than over the phone.  We’re pretty lucky that our department gets to see each other at least twice a year.

Anywhoo…. ok about my card.  Tricia if you are reading this…. this is what you are going to get in the mail as soon as I get back.  Sorry it’s not a surprise anymore.  But I just had to share it.  Trust me it will be better in person.  On this card I used a hero arts background stamp and PTI’s new giga basics.  Finally i got to use a Christmas gift from Julie last year.  My Martha Stewart glitter.  I have the 30 pack.  i think it came out great and the image wasn’t compromised at all.  The glue pad is awesome!!!

A little background about Tricia.  She is a newly wed, a fellow blogger friend and a friend.  Love her to death.  We have so much in common.  Check out her blog HERE.  On my sidebar you can find her under Tricia Blanco.  She is an awesome cardmaker and scrapbooker too!!!

Talk to you all soon!!!  Have an awesome day!!

Hello Friend 11.9.09
Hello friends!!!  Thank you so much for all the wonderful comments about my flower felt tutorial and card.  I really appreciate it.  I can’t wait to make more….I still have quite a few up my sleeve.  Well its really in my head…I just have to sit down and make it.  Then film it etc etc.

Don’t you just love the new Cosmo Cricket Nutmeg??  I’m in love.  The colors and the critter images are just so cute.  They all remind me of my rabbit.  So this card was really easy to make.  I didn’t know what paper to use, so I used them all.  I cut random shapes from each paper and then just adhered them down on the soft suede SU card stock.  The critter chipboard is from the Cosmo Cricket nutmeg too and the sentiment is from Hero arts.

Hope you like it!!!  BTW I’ll be in Jacksonville, FL from Wed to Friday….any bloggers from Jacksonville?

Moxie Thanks for all you do 11.9.09

Hello!  This is my first Moxie Fab Challenge entry.   I had to do this because I loved the challenge….. PLUM CRAZY.  I created the flower using circle felt and some thread.  If you want to see how I made the flower check out my video tutorial below before you leave my blog.  It’s so easy to make.  The sentiment is a rub on from SU… the background stamp is from hero arts.  I couldn’t resist I had to add some glitter and I did it using stickles on the button.  Plus I saw some pins that I got from Joanns fabrics and I just had to add it as a finishing touch.  Hope you guys like it.

I was in my craft room the for a good amount of time today watching the 1st season of Friends.  I love this show…it’s my favorite show ever.  I was so productive and was able to make a few cards and a video too.  So cool!  I could do this everyday.

Moxie Thanks for all you do2 11.9.09

DM Challenge Thinking of you 10.28.09
Alright 2nd card in the wee hours of the morning!!  I haven’t submitted a card to Dawns challenge in a while.  As you can see I’m still hooked on felt, sizzix and make my own embellies.  BTW these felt sheets are only $0.29/each at Joann Fabrics.  I love them!!!  I was so ready to purchase a yard of each color but I saw these in on e of the aisle.  I got one of each color and only spent $4.  So awesome!!

So this card is for my friend Nina in the Philippines.  She is my bestest friend over there and we don’t get to talk much but I just wanted her to know that I think about her always.  We’ve been through so much together.  I plan to send this to her as soon as I get her address.  I know by now she must have already given birth to her 2nd child.

Nina… not sure if you’re reading this or not but I just wanted to let you know that I miss yah and I wish you lived closer to me or I loved closer to you.

Sniff….. sniff….

Love yah Nins!!

Today I’m Grateful for:  An awesome friend who helped me understand photography.  Thanks for dumbing it up for me….thanks so much Mac…I owe you big time!  Thank you too Ashley for letting me borrow Mac for a couple of hours!!!

Hello there!! This is my submission to Ms. Emma’s 1st challenge.  I know I missed the deadline but I just had to do one anyway.  I hope she likes what I made.  I’m pretty much doing this so I can get a virtual hug from this cute little girl.  Haha!

Thank you all for checkin’ out my new home and thank you for adding me to your readers.  I have no clue how I would survive without out one.  My apologies for not being able to comment back personally.  I’m a guardian to an almost teenager here and I’m still trying to find my way through wordpress and all of the plugins for this thing.  I’m also trying to figure out the whole flikr or photobucket to wordpress thing.  Maybe tomorrow I’ll get there.

By the way this is my friend Sierra’s submission.  She had to make one too.

I’m off to bed now.  I have to wake up early to cook breakfast for friends.  Fritata and Cinnamon Buns are on the menu!!
