Hello there!!!! This is my entry for Embellish Magazine’s challenge. Oh how I love it. This is by far my favorite (I think I say that every week). But this really is. I just love owls. I have no clue how or when it started. Well I take that back it started last year when I purchased my very first owl stamp from hero arts. I have a ton now. I just gravitate towards them. Such cute little suckers!!!
On to the card…. I used a die cut I purchased earlier this year from twopeas. Its a polaroid shape from quickutz. I die I love this shape. The stamp is from Unity KOTM the sentiment is by Ali Edwards. I cut out the heart shaped eyes using felt and used embroidery floss to stitch around. I wanted the eye to pop!! Also the brown floss on the left was inspired by Sarah Martina. Check out her card HERE. Genius!! Had to try it myself!!

I was hoping to get a couple of cards done but I never got to them. I have a goal….I want to submit a card for 2S4Y, Moxie and Tuesday Trigger. Wish me luck. . .

cardstock: pti berry sorbet, dark brown
paper: basic grey nook and pantry
stamp: unity kotm august. ali edwards by techique tuesday
ink: pti dark brown, versa mark
embossing: zing
diecut: quickuts polaroid
misc: embroidery floss
Mwah,

Today I’m Grateful for: Amir…. you are simply amazing!!! He hung out with me in my craft book room while watching TV. He fell asleep. I need a couch in here now. Another excuse to go to Ikea
Isn’t Cece cute!!!

Your card is just darling! I love the heart eyes.
What do you color most? For me it’s people, so I got skin tones, hair colors, etc. first. But if you do more animals, browns and greys might be a good place to start. And always get your favorite color too. And yes, always buy in 3s. One dark, med, and light.
Colors I use the most-
R46, 27, 24, 22
RV11, 10, 00
G24, 21, 20
B24, 23, 21
E37, 34, 31
W3, 1, 00
I know you like Papertrey stuff, so maybe following their trio sets might be a good place to start too. You’ll love them so much once you get them!

ooh! I luv, how awesome, I really like the idea of the polaroid die cut! I really need to get a die cut machine, I have my eye on the epic 6, and for one reason only-I have no counter space, lol, seriously, I’ll upgrade when I get more counter space
Ok, the owl is super adorable, luv his heart shaped eye, hehe. The LO of the card rocks too. Good luck submitting awesome card for all the challenges out there! I dunno how you do it but I just can’t keep up anymore, lol!
Hugs

This card is totally adorable!! That owl is precious!! Love the sleeping man and dog photo too, looks like my house (except for an older man and an older dog!). I also broke down and went to Ikea last summer and got a cool futon/bed thing for my craft room. It’s super cute and comfy and now I use it to take a nap myself almost every night! hee! hee!

After browsing through your blog, I just realized you’re Filipina? I am, too, but now live in Croatia. It’s always neat to meet other Filipinos in the paper crafting community.
